Potty Time!!!!

Huge day at the Giddens' home today. We are currently in the process of knocking another set of diapers off the list. Today was day #1 for Nate in his new "Thomas the Trains". Long day, but a good one. I mean check out this mean chart...

I have to brag on the guy a bit, he had all his spiders covered before naptime even arrived, which made the evening a little harder to keep him focused because the prize was so big...

So, the final stats for the day: 15 SUCCESSES, 7 accidents.

(If you are wondering why in the world a kids would pee so much in one day, it is because I practically forced cheerios (to make him thirsty) and apple juice down him ALL DAY LONG.)

Feeling good about the day, pressing on to #2...

Beach '09, Day #2

Day 2 at the beach is complete. We resolved to remain on the beach until the sun was completely down. The pinnacle of relaxation.

Beach '09, Day #1

Abigail, Nathan and Luke were all fantastic on the trip. Not even to Lexington yet, Abigail asks, "Daddy, how much further to the beach?"

Does anyone know what kind of vine this is that overtakes trees? The stuff is everywhere and its out of control!

Photo shoot with friends

Check out these pics of the kids w/ their buds Georgia and Henry that my good friend Rachel took yesterday. They look fantastic despite the circumstances. Go here and here to see the results and hear the crazy story from the day. Thanks Rach!

Snugget

We have a new pet. He is named "Snugget" in honor of our Uncle Toby who ever so strategically placed him in our bug box for us. There are a few things you should know about Snugget...
  • he is "beautiful"
  • we are "so exzited"
  • we love him
  • we will take very good care of him and bring him sticks, mulch, leaves, and toys (rocks)
Meet Snugget, our new grasshopper.

(Why "Snugget"? Toby has been calling Abigail "Snugget" since she was a very wee little tike. And it makes her laugh so hard every time.)
