Out!

I love that this girl can just fall asleep pretty much anywhere these days. It seems that by lunch the crew has completely worn her out. And yes, she is still in her pajamas...that is just how life is for #4. Thankfully she is cool with it so far.

Besides being on the football or baseball field, this is where Tory remembers most of his childhood, right next to Toby with a Nintendo controller (the original) in his hands. Why would we think it would be any different for these two brothers?

Though separated by several years, these two still seems to have such a special bond. I love to sit back and see them interact. Mostly it's Abigail playing her little mama. She sings, plays with, and dresses this girl. They make my heart melt.

Annual Collingsworth County Stock Show

We experienced our first stock show today. The kids loved it and I mentioned to Rachel--as we were kind of taken aback by where exactly the Lord had brought us--that I felt like I was in a movie the whole time. You know, the one with Lane Frost. And this is some serious stuff, with some serious time and money. Lovin' us some real country livin'.

Mud pies - January 2012 - Wellington, TX

WHAT!?! I know, I know...it's been over a month! I am telling ya, life is hitting us full force. I wouldn't say we have been doing anything necessarily profound but that life is just full. And to make life even more exciting, look who just moved to town. The inseparable girls have been united once again. And this time only an alley-way separates them. So, thanks Rae for sharing the Instagram and yes, I will keep taking pics and hopefully soon I will have more room on the computer to share them!

Texas is just a great place to be I tell ya. There are many reasons, but for today it is a stopping point for friends to stop and put their feet up on their way to and fro. We were thrilled when friends from Louisville (now pastoring in Albuquerque, NM) came through town for the night. And it worked out perfectly that the Marshman's rolled in just two days earlier. So refreshing to sit and chat and catch up. And I have to say there has been lots of beautiful additions since we were last together. 11 little beauties to be exact..one is hiding behind the couch and we are still waiting on little Kate to come home from Ethiopia. Looking forward to next time.

Alas!

It has been a clearly "look, but don't touch" policy as we have watched this little guy through the glass of an incubator, connected to tube after tube for so long. But today all that is the past. The Lord has placed his sustaining hand on our Baby Casey after what doctors have called a "miracle". When he was delivered via c-section at 35 weeks gestation due to complications in his Mama's blood pressure, they explained that the umbilical cord was hanging on by a mere "thread" leaving this little guy with little ability to receive the nutrients his body needed. BUT LOOK AT HIM NOW! In our arms, healthy, growing, and I think that might be a smile he mustered up for his first photo with his cousins. Watch out little man, we love BIG!
